ARK AVILON ZOO is the only indoor interactive zoo in the Philippines located in Frontera Verde, Pasig City.  With a two storey building resembling the biblical Noah's Ark, ARK AVILON ZOO is home to various friendly animals that guests can interact with.  

Kids and kids at heart can get up close and personal with JENNY the Bornean Orangutan, AYLA the Palawan Bearcat, BIBO the Philippine Eagle Owl, ARING & KRING the Philippine Red-Vented Cockatoos, TYSON the Burmese Python, ARTHUR the Old English Sheepdog, GOYA & ASH the Shetland Ponies and many more wildlife ambassadors.  Kids can enjoy feeding rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep and other farm animals in the FARMLAND Fun Feeding Station. 

Other FUN activities offered are nature art and craft making, playing in the nature-inspired mini playground and celebrating a party or get together on the Upper Deck Activity Area.

The Kuwait Towers

Kuwait Towers is one of Kuwait’s most famous landmarks. It is located on the Arabian Gulf Road in Sharq district. Designed by Swedish Engineers Sune Lindström and Malene Björn and built by Energoprojekt, a contracting company from Belgrade, Yugoslavia; the Kuwait Towers was officially inaugurated in

1st March 1979.

Coated with 55,000 Chinese steel paints of eight colors, the Kuwait Towers spheres combine a tranquilized harmony between both blue sea waters and the rising sky. It  comprises of two major towers and a minor tower and an area of 38,000 m².  

The Main Tower

It is 82 m above sea level and contains:
• The ‛Horizon Restaurant’ (Ofok Hall) which servers lunch and dinner buffets with a daily new menu. The hospitality levels at ‛Horizon Restaurant’ reach the standards of sky-high hospitality.
• The main tower also contains ‛Le Café’ coffee shop that serves light snacks, a variety of pastries and all kinds of refreshing beverages.
• ‛Dasman ’ballroom is an all-time favorite for special parties, events and business occasions. Plus it serves as an outside catering service to meet the needs of elite weddings and other executive functions.
• The viewing sphere is situated 123 meters above sea level. It rotates to give its visitor a full view of Kuwait while enjoying themselves with or without a telescope and a cafeteria for light snacks, pastries and refreshing drinks. It rotates 360 degrees every half an hour.

The Middle Tower

• This is used as a water reservoir (water tank).

The Minor Tower

• This is used to supply electricity for some areas in Kuwait City and the two major towers.

Special Activities:

• Kuwait Towers hosts VIPs and important public figures.
• Saturday to Thursday of every week from 8:00 am to 11:30 am is reserved for ladies only in ‛Ofok hall’.
• Kuwait Towers also holds the annual Ice Cream Festival, Chocolate Festival, Popular Kuwaiti Meals Festival, as other programs through which relations are ascertained with all its visitors.
• Training halls that are fully outfitted with modern and professional equipment for training purposes are available.

BURJ AL -ARAB

The BURJ AL -ARAB  is the worlds tallest hotel, standing 321m high and located on it's own artificial island on the Dubai coastline. this hotel was designed to resemble a billowing dhow sail. At night, the exterior of the hotel is a sight to behold as the cheorographed colored lightning show changes every 30 minutes.

The Burj Al-Arab is an architectural masterpiece, am ambitious undertaking by Crown Prince Sheik Mohammed that openned in 1999. It is the world's tallest structure with a membrane facade, the outer wall is made of a woven, teflon-coated fiber glass cloth.

The Burj Al-Arab is a luxury hotel with 202 duplex suites,  these are not ordinary rooms. It is one of the most expensive hotels in the world to stay in with the least expensive suites can cost over $15,000 a night

Burj Al Arab is located on Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach strip, 15 km from the main city centre and 25 km from Dubai International Airport. It is Dubai’s most recognisable landmark and stands 280 metres offshore on a man-made island, linked to the mainland by a slender, gently curving causeway.
It is well served by taxis and has its own fleet of chauffeur driven Rolls-Royces, BMWs, and a helicopter.

Mukhang ang swerte ng mga kabayan natin na nag wowork dito sa Burj Al- Arab...well, since sobrang mahal nya mahirap yata ma afford kaya pwede na yung picture taking... back ground view from afar. Pero dun po sa mga kababayan natin na na afford makapasok sa loob ng napakamahal na hotel na ito...MABROOK.

Mali pala ako...

EXTREMELY HOT i thought i will always perspire and will need my Johnson's baby powder cornstarch. Hindi naman pala needed at bihira ka lang pala pagpapawisan kase sa bahay non-stop pala ang AC, di gaya sa Pinas when it's time to sleep lang namin bubuksan ang aircon. Plus kahit saang lugar naman, work, mall, restaurants, supermarkets, sari-sari store ( bakala ) kahit nga fish market eh di aircon, sa transport mo din naman naka aircon ka din pwera na lang kung sira sasakyan nyo. Lahat de aircon kaya di ka masyadong apektado ng init.

CAMELS - Promise akala ko makikita mo lang sila sa tabi tabi. Sayang gustong gusto ko pa naman makakita ng ganon. Buti na lang naka punta ako sa ZOO, yun nga lang ang after ko sa zoo dito, yung camel. Kaso the last time we went there nung May 2012 sarado na yung side ng for camels kase pinagbababato daw ng mga shabab. Haram. Sayang kase first time pa naman sana ng anak ko na makakita ng camel. Anyway, i saw one already but i'm still dreaming na makakita mismo ng camel sa disyerto ... you know, yung tipong palakad lakad sila yung parang nakikita mo sa movies.

SAND - buhangin everywhere akala ganon din, yun pala, para ka lang din nasa Pilipinas. Hehehe lalo na nung pagdating ko dito, yung part ng city akala ko nasa Divisoria ako. Well, good thing unti2 ng nirerenovate yung mga mala Divisoria na lumang building dun.

SCARY FACES - hindi nga! I thought they all look like goons. Yes, tama ako na mga balbas sarado sila pero mga handsome pala sila. Good looking naman pala hindi mga goon looking. And even yung mga babae nila dito ( mga nakatakip ) marami sa kanila pag inalis na nila yung face covering nila WOW...very pretty. Iisipin mo, sayang naman natatago lang ang mga ganda nila.

SMELLY - sabi nila smelly daw kase sa spices na kinakain nila. Well, kahit saan naman may smelly hehehe pero grabe naman sila sa bango pag nagbukor na sila or naglagay na sila ng pabango. Mamahaling mga perfumes ba naman and oud fragrances eh sino ba namang hindi magiging mabango dun. At saka thanks sa mga influence nating mga Pinoy natututo na silang maging mabago. Syempre, may ilang nakaka himatay ang amoy.. pero if you learn to love them, mabaho man sila hindi na ganon ka negative ang reaction mo. We are all the same in the eyes of God. God is love then sino tayo para hindi sila tanggapin at mahalin.

UNPLEASANT FOOD - sabi ko noon before i left the Philippines. Surely i will loose weight kase syempre iba ang pagkain nila. Abah eh, when my boss saw me he told me, " Michelle believe me you will gain 20kilos here if you will not diet. " Truely naman sya, from 55k i was up to 70k.Muntik na syang maging accurate sa pag calculate ng magegain ko na weight. Masarap naman kase kahit papano yung ibang mga foods nila idagdag mo pa yung mga sweets nila. hayyyyyy... halos hinahahagis na lang sa amin noon nung nasa Platinum pa ako. Kaya naman i started to diet kase lagi na akong pinagsasabihan ni amo.. Michelle diet, diet diet. Salamat naman at with self discipline, more water, walking, one rice meal a day, less chocolates from 70kg i was down to 50kg ! Noon! Kaso balik lobo ako ngayon after i deliver my third baby. Well, if i did it before i can still do it today.... so, go go go...diet!

NO WATER - when my brother in law first brought me to the church, we passed by the seaside and i can't believe what i saw...may dagat pala dito. hehehehe funny.. really all  the while i thought puro land, puro sand lang dito eh ang ganda pala...very few lang sa seaside nila ang may fee para makapag picnic ka or makapag swim. Open to public pala ang beach nila dito, pwede ka pang mangisda, may play ground pa. Yung iba may basketball courts pa. Ang ganda, ang galing.

So that was my idea of the middle east before na kabaliktaran pala...how about you what was your idea of the middle east before?

Scientific Center

On June 11, 2012  we went to the Scientific Center to watch the shark feeding. This was actually Naomi's 1st time, Resty's 2nd time, 3rd time for me & Reign but it was the first time for all 4 of us to watch how they fed the sharks.
